MoMA Love

Yesterday was an amazing day. 1. Because I got a day away from my (lovely) high school, and 2. I spent in my favorite city, in a beautiful building with some amazing people.
My Advanced & A.P. Art class took a day trip to the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan, New York. Being in the city is a dream, but being new places in the city is magical. There were so many beautiful pieces, confusing models, and thoughtful structures. I felt like Alice in Wonderland; everywhere I turned, there was something new and thought-provoking to look at. One piece that really stuck with me was Hide and Seek by Pavel Tchelitchew. My friends and I spent about 10 minutes standing in front of this magnificent painting finding new elements and body parts we hadn't seen the moment before and discussing the beautiful nature of something so morbid.
After touring a few more areas of the museum, we headed out onto the streets of W 53rd Street!...not before stopping on the rainy corner to track down some yummies for lunch.
Thank You, Jesus for Your natural fruits...and for freshly placing them on the shelves of Jamba Juice so they can make me a Mega Mango smoothie with a shot of wheatgrass!

Some of my favorites!

Stopped by Douglas Gordon's Play Dead....to take some pictures through his projected screen

One of my lovelies with me at Five Guys!

A beautiful home behind the MoMA

See you soon, MoMA!
