Date Night: Cinema Edition
If you know your love is taking you to see the Rom-Com of the season this Valentine's Day, you can dress it up or down! With this date night outfit, the leather jeans and waterfall blazer are the centerpieces, so everything around it can be mixed up! If you're looking for a more dressy look, opt for some heeled cutout booties and a clutch, and if you want add in a soft (silk) infinity scarf. If you're ready to kick your feet up in the theater and want a comfier appearence, swap the booties for some d'orsay flats, a crossbody instead of a clutch and switch the silk scarf for a knitted infinity! The key to this outfit is color repetition. If you ensure the blazer and the bag are the same (cream) color and keep the rest of the ensemble black, the red of the scarf is sure to pop!

Date Night: Out on the Town Edition
If your love has secret plans or you know to be ready for a night out this Friday, here's the look for you. The color of love is evident in this V-Day ensemble, but the fun twist is the simple graphic tee hidden under the leather biker jacket. The contrast between the ladylike tea-length skirt and heels with the rugged nature of the moto jacket with detailed hardware adds a new level is to die for! The feminine touch is obvious, but the dashes of edge makes the outfit not too serious. A structured bag and heels would go perfect with this.

Upside Down Sweaters and Buckled Booties
This fabulous sweater, bought for my mom on her birthday, has slipped into our ever-growing "shared" closet. I say share, my mom might say stolen...but "tomato", tomato. Anyway, not only is it comfy and cute, I'm wearing it upside down! The shop owner of South of SoHo was wearing it like this at the time of our purchase and I loved it on her, but I think I also fell in love with fashion all over again. It made me remember the never-ending possibilities of what we can do with clothes to make it our own. The simplicity of flipping the sweater around gives the outfit a whole new look!

Although incredibly simply and almost plain, I love this look. This time of year is perfect for sweater dresses, but I'm very particular about how it's pulled off. I like how Gayle (last featured here) bumps up the level of sophistication with the low bun, jewels and Ray Bans. What I love most is that no matter how polished Gayle's outfit is, she always looks comfortable; whether it's in a dress with some Converse or a wide-leg pant with wedges, she knows how to dress for herself.

I love sneaking in these pumps anytime I can, and church always seems like the perfect event. The pants are not only the perfect length, but are also a nice spice of color to the otherwise grayed color palette . . . and aren't my grandmother's floors simply fabulous? :)
