Happy Monday!. . .okay, I know it's really Tuesday. . .humor me?

I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date!...my procrastination habits must come to an end.

Don't you just love Mondays?
Me either, but there has been a plethora of new (and old) treasures that made me grin from ear to ear over the weekend and my grin has lingered well past that 72-hour grace period.

The simplicity of aligned bikes on a beautiful Spring day

My cousin's gorgeous-and growing-baby bump!

Growing older, and the immaculate wisdom of Miss. Jane Fonda

The beauty of true friendship, and finding it in the form of souvenir jewelry

Wherever you are this "Monday", I hope you find the beauty in the world around  you. It can be as small as a charm or as big a pregnant belly.

Casual Camo

Thrifted Top, Forever 21 Geometric Bib NecklaceNewLook Scuba Skater Skirt, H&M Tights, Report Cosette Wedge Sneakers, Steve Madden Bag (borrowed...from my mother), H&M ring, Canal Street (NYC) vendor studded bracelet

I don't often play with patterns, but when I saw this camouflage top I knew it would be a fun experimental piece. The dark print looked so good with the chrome of the gold and silver jewelry.
Another shoot in the shade of my beautifully blossoming trees! Lately, any natural sunlight has brought the biggest of grins to my face, and that's why I'm cheesing like crazy in these photos. Have a lovely weekend!

Springin' into Step!

Target top (D.I.Y-ed: Tie-Front Tank), Forever 21 Long Chain Cross Necklace, Impact Peplum Skirt, H&M Tights, Rehesh Booties, Bagatelle Leather Jacket, Prada Eyeglasses, Vintage Bookbag

With Spring in full swing-er, full bloom-I figured my front yard was the perfect backdrop for my first outfit posting. This tree (April is her name) is my absolute favorite. Every Spring she blossoms such beautiful red leaves, which keep great company in front of my house until mid-Autumn when the leaves slowly crumple and fall away. For now, she serves as a lovely accent to my neutral ensemble.

Happy (Belated) Earth Day!

Monday was Earth Day.
I celebrated by posting a photo of a flower I'd snapped over the weekend on Instagram. I'm still a bit troubled that the greatest amount of homage I could pay to Mother Earth on her BDay was a snapshot of a blossoming tulip, but I'm still grateful.
Whether you carpooled or popped in an energy efficient light bulb, planted a garden or took a picture of one, it's always great to take a minute and appreciate the beauty of the earth around us and consider what we can do to keep away the wrinkles!

Part 1

"Go at it boldly, and you'll find unexpected forces closing round you and coming to your aid."
~Basil King

Today begins Part I. Part I of a new book, in which I will openly explore the wonders, questions and surprises of fashion, beauty and life...in high school.
As in many other books, KayKrew is divided into chapters.
Chapter 1 is about fashion; my outfits, my inspiration and my appreciation. Fashion is my art, and clothes are the medium I use to express the independence of my mind.
Chapter 2 is about creation; D.I.Y.'s, art projects, recipes. Joseph Chilton Pearce once said "To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong."
Chapter 3 is my miscellaneous documentations, or what I'd like to call 'The Wonder Years'; life, travel, food, music, opinion...

Read on,
Kay
