Five Fall Fundamentals: The Over-The-Knee Heeled Boot

I've been craving these 3.1 Phillip Lim "Ora" Over-The-Knee Boots since their debut in last year's Fall Fashion Week. Even thought their origin is "so last year", they hold a special place in my heart and therefore deserve a place on this list. The wide heel makes the boot comfortable while the leather dressing maintains its sense of luxury. With a chunky sweater dress, some opaque stockings and a structured tote (with bold hardware), I'd be out the door in these over-the-knee-boots.

You know Fall is in full-swing when the grass goes from a bold fern green to a shriveling and speckled army green!

I love this new dress from Marshalls; not only is it the perfect sweater dress for fall, but the midsection gathering and batwing arms make it the most comfortable and flattering numbers in my wardrobe. I loved dressing this down today with the denim jacket and high socks, and leveling the playing field with the leather bootie and silver jewelry.

Five Fall Fundamentals: The Black Overall

After a month-long, unannounced hiatus I come back and all I can offer are a few blurry planned candids of my hand in my mailbox...but I'm here!...isn't that all that counts? :)
From past-2AM bedtimes to adjusting to the ~~horrors~~ life of senior year, it has no doubt been a busy month for me. Today was a nice break from the chaos because it was the first meeting of the fashion club I started at my high school! Big days deserve big outfits, and todays' certainly was!

The chiffon romper -- which has an adorable caged back -- is fancy yet breathable, and the knee-high boots add the desired touch of casual comfort to offset the ornate top.

After about an hour of Pinterest hopping this morning, I pulled this outfit together for a One Direction concert tonight. Knowing that I'll be amid a large group of screaming girls, I wanted to wear something that was equal parts concert chic and functional for moving out of bumping crowds ;)
